Plasticcraft Concrete Rebate Boards.

Plasticcraft Concrete Rebate Boards are used with Reid Threaded Inserts. They are attached to wall shutters/formwork with roofing screws and hold the Reid inserts in place with a simple friction fit. They can also be used where inserts are wired in to the formwork; a jacking nut can be moulded in to aid removal of the board from the concrete.

The Reid system combines threaded reinforcing bar with threaded inserts for a robust and easy to use wall to floor joining system. Combined with Plasticcraft Rebate Boards, the system gives substantial savings in set up time, and is offered in a variety of sizes and spacings to suit your engineering requirements.

The advantages of polyurethane rebate boards over other systems are:
  • Simplicity; there are no moving parts, the only parts required are the board and the inserts.
  • Ease of use; the board is easily mounted with roofing screws, and then the inserts are simply pushed into the recesses in the board.
  • Toughness; polyurethane is typically used in applications where toughness and wear resistance are required, eg forklift tyres. Plasticcraft rebate boards can be used repeatedly, saving on set up costs.
  • Compared with a machined plastic board, flexible polyurethane accommodates any variations in insert diameter better, and the recess for the insert will maintain its shape for much longer.
Boards are moulded to order. Typical delivery time is 1 week from date of order, longer if new moulds are required. Typically boards are 90mm or 180mm wide, 30mm thick, and in 900, 1000, 1100 and 1200mm lengths. 90mm boards suit single row requirements, and 180mm for double rows. We have also moulded boards 150, 170, 225, 230, 250 and 300 wide as required to suit different slab thicknesses. For thicker slabs, customers have successfully used polystyrene foam rebate bordered with 90mm polyurethane boards top and bottom.

We can custom mould to suit your required insert spacing in length up to1.2m. Typical insert spacings are 200 or 300mm, with inserts 50mm from edge of board. We have supplied boards to suit RBA12, 16, and 20 in 30mm thickness and RBA25 in 40mm thick.

Shower Grate Inserts.
Concrete formwork to suit Security Floor Waste Code FWCSR50P floor waste grates. These are used to plug the drainpipe during pouring of concrete floors, enabling the concreter to produce a quality finish, with accurate fall to the drain. These are used in prison construction, and have been used at Sir David Longlands Correctional Centre, Townsville Mens Prison and Townsville Womens Prison.
